Stony Point Fashion Park is ready to meet the current fashion season with a new style and a whole new attitude.
A multi-million dollar renovation brought several fantastic new amenities to the shopping center, including Triangle Park, a permanent event area with a stage, artificial lawn and stylish wooden loungers; new cabana-style seating near the ever popular Pop-Jet fountain; and a children’s play area. Fire Features and charging stations have also been sprinkled throughout the center.
The Fashion Park has also added 17 local stores, many of which have been revamped to replicate the storefronts seen in Carytown. Still anchored by stores like Tiffany & Co. and Saks Fifth Avenue, shops like Biggs Ltd., Iconic7, Joseph’s Designs and Luxe Lashes, the Fashion Park’s new neighborhood shopping style is generating excitement among merchants and shoppers alike.
Adding to the new neighborhood feel is Stony Point’s love for dogs. Furry friends in carriers or on leashes are welcome to join their families as they tour the Fashion Park. Most shops welcome dogs with bowls of water at the door and treats behind the sales counters. Plenty of restaurants, including CineBistro and Les Crepes, welcome dogs to join their owners in outdoor seating areas. Dog Comfort Stations, featuring water and disposable waste bags, are located throughout the center, and there is even an off-leash dog park behind Panera Bread. Specialty shops like Abbella Cakes Dog Bakery, Brittany Rose Photography (newly opened pet photography studio), Fido Park Avenue Dog Boutique and Sitting Pretty Grooming & Training are situated throughout the mall and provide a K-9 shopping experience that is unlike anything else in the area.
“Our shoppers love that they can bring their dogs shopping with them. Basically all of our stores allow dogs in them and have a sticker on their door or window,” says Stony Point Fashion Park representative Karen Alley. “Only three to four stores request that only small dogs visit due to the overall size of their store. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurants. However, they are welcome on the patios.”
To complement your shopping experience, there are also plenty of community events at Stony Point. Through the end of September, the Summer Concert Series, presented by Brightview, continues, featuring local bands — like Mashup, Good Shot Judy and Little Country — on the first and third Thursdays of the month. On the fourth Friday of each month, Pet owners can bring their loved ones to Yappy Hour, which features a dog fashion show, dog tricks, dog training sessions and other pet friendly events.
So, if you haven’t been to Stony Point Fashion Park in a while, now is definitely the time to go back and check it out.
